The safety level is high because the safety encoder detects position and speed and meets all the requirements of SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and PL d (EN 13849). Safety signals are transmitted via a certified EtherCAT FSoE interface. The weight is also very low, approximately 60 grams.
The TRK38 detects position and speed from a safety perspective and meets all the requirements of SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and performance level (PL) d (EN 13849). The position resolution is 16 bits per revolution. The certified EtherCAT FSoE interface ensures reliable transmission of safety signals to a higher-level controller or safety relay, and also allows the sensor to be programmed.

The aluminum housing and overall design ensure a long service life even under adverse conditions such as vibration and impact loads. The non-contact, wear-free measurement principle contributes significantly to this.
