Greater efficiency.
Its unique, patented Twin port circuitry allows you to simultaneously measure dielectric strength and ground resistance, increasing the efficiency of the procedure by significantly reducing test time.
Error Elimination:
If a device under test is not properly connected or is not connected at all, it might pass the rigidity or insulation test when there is a high probability it would fail. This situation is essentially equivalent to not performing the test at all. The OSC function allows for quick verification that the capacitance of the component being tested is within the specified limits, and only if confirmed should the test be performed.
Safety for operators:
Its GFI system, which measures the current at two different points, protects the operator by immediately stopping the test voltage when it detects differences between the current applied to the device and the current returning from it.
High-power dielectric strength testing.
Typically, the maximum current in a dielectric strength test is 5 or 10 mA. However, certain devices require higher power levels. The 19032-P model is capable of measuring dielectric strength at up to 100 mA and 500 VA AC, or 20 mA DC.
Dynamic leakage currents.
Information technology devices such as PCs, monitors, printers, projectors, and uninterruptible power supplies require floating leakage current testing, not referenced to ground. Furthermore, leakage current measurements must take parasitic capacitances into account. The 19032, with the appropriate internal scanners, can measure dynamic leakage currents.
An RC circuit network simulates human body contact under various UL and IEC standards.
Lighting industry with and without LEDs:
Lighting devices require testing for dielectric strength, insulation, and grounding resistance. It is typical to test the grounding resistance by applying a 25A alternating current for 1 minute between the grounding electrode and the metal parts exposed to contact.
Power supplies, adapters, and chargers.
It is essential to check all components related to the power supplies of electronic products, taking into account design methods and test conditions to avoid damaging the manufactured device. The 19032 allows for the programming of various tests, including high-voltage, high-current, insulation, and leakage current tests, which are automatically sequenced without the need for intermediate connections/disconnections that cause numerous errors.
Appliance Testing:
The 19032 model allows for the testing of a wide variety of appliances. It can operate continuously with Class 0, I, and II devices on automated production lines 24 hours a day. Thanks to its diverse multiplexers, it can automatically switch measurements between several points.
Testing medical equipment.
The 19032 with the internal 6000-07 scanner is an ideal solution for testing electromedical devices, complying with the stringent standards in this sector. Since this type of equipment is in frequent contact with both physicians and patients, leakage currents are a critical factor, requiring consideration of four power supply configurations: normal connection, reverse connection, normal with ground fault, and reverse with ground fault. All of this is done using different body simulation models.
Electrical Safety Testing in Electric Vehicles:
The electric vehicle industry uses relatively high voltages, exceeding 600V, making electrical testing vitally important, especially considering the large number of metal parts exposed to user contact. The grounding resistance of the charging circuits must not exceed 100 mΩ when tested with 25 A at 50/60 Hz.
Compatible Accessories
– Isolation transformer. Allows the device under test to remain floating while the 19032 performs leakage current measurements.
– Test element. A “reference standard device” with known values allows periodic verification of whether the tester is measuring correctly.
– Barcode reader. Can be connected directly to the 19032 to register the reference of the device under test and automatically select the tests and parameters to be performed.
– Current transformer. Allows increasing the earth resistance test current to 40 or 60A.
– Universal power adapter. Compatible with power outlets in most countries.
Electrical safety testing software.
Allows you to control and configure models 19032 and 19032P, run tests, create procedures, and record results to generate certificates and statistical reports.
